For the third straight year, Eastern Kentucky University’s Mock Trial Team has earned a trip to the American Mock Trial Association’s (AMTA) National Championship Tournament. EKU finished with a 7-1 record at the AMTA Memphis Opening Round Championship Series, good for third place and a trip to Los Angeles to compete for the national title.
Eastern Kentucky University’s Mock Trial team earned its first tournament win of the year, claiming the top prize at the Fifteenth Annual Illinois State University Mock Trial Invitational in Bloomington, Illinois, on November 4-6, 2016.
Eastern Kentucky University’s Mock Trial Team is going to the National Championship Tournament! EKU will have four more weeks of mocking courtesy of its first-place finish at the American Mock Trial Association’s Opening Round Championship (ORC) Series tournament in Memphis, Tennessee.
Eastern Kentucky University’s Mock Trial program traveled north to Michigan and came home with a first-place trophy, winning the Great Lakes Mock Trial Invitational hosted by Eastern Michigan University. For the first time in the program’s history, EKU went a perfect 8-0 in a tournament.
The Eastern Kentucky University Mock Trial team concluded a highly successful season with an 11th place finish at the American Mock Trial Association National Championship Tournament (NCT) held in Cincinnati on April 17-19, 2015. Forty-eight teams competed at the National Championship Tournament, in a season that began with over 600 mock trial teams from across the nation.
