KY High School Mock Trial Tournament - Judges

On March 4-6, 2016, Eastern Kentucky University will host the Kentucky High School Mock Trial Tournament.  The tournament will be held on Friday in Richmond, and on Saturday and Sunday in Lexington.  As in the past, we rely upon the support of judges, attorneys, and law students to serve as volunteer judges, providing the students with essential feedback on their performances. 

Attorneys are eligible for two hours of Kentucky Public Speaking CLE credit for volunteering their time.  CLE forms will be available on-site at the tournament.  You need not have mock trial or litigation experience to serve as a judge.  All judges will receive a confirmation email with further information after completing the signup form below.

Friday's rounds will be held at the EKU Business and Technology Center on the EKU campus in Richmond.  Saturday and Sunday's rounds will be held in Lexington at the Fayette County District and Circuit Courthouses.

The schedule of rounds is as follows:

Friday, March 4
Round 1: Judges' Meeting 1:30-2pm, Trial 2-5pm
Round 2: Judges' Meeting 5:30-6pm, Trial 6-9pm

Saturday, March 5
Round 3: Judges' Meeting 8:30-9am, Trial 9am-12pm
Round 4: Judges' Meeting 1:00-1:30pm, Trial 1:30-4:30pm

Sunday, March 6
Championship: Judges' Meeting 9:30-10am, Trial 10am-1pm

Refreshments will be available prior to each round.
