EKU Mock Trial Finishes Successful Season with Strong Performance in Memphis
Eastern Kentucky University Mock Trial concluded a successful season by finishing 12th at the American Mock Trial Association’s Opening Round Championship in Memphis, Tennessee. The national tournament was hosted by Rhodes College. EKU split ballots (winning one and losing one) in each of the four rounds of the tournament, finishing with a 4-4 record. The Colonels faced the University of Arizona, Baylor University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Texas at Austin.

EKU’s season was highlighted by top-ten finishes throughout the invitational and regional season, including:
- 5th place at the Arch Invitational in St. Louis, MO
- 2nd place at the Spartan Throwdown in Cleveland, OH
- 6th place at the Commodore Classic in Nashville, TN
- 7th place at the AMTA Regional in Tallahassee, FL
During the season, EKU recorded a 9-7 record against teams among the final 48 that advanced to the National Championship Tournament next month in Orlando, Florida. Individual award winners for EKU this year included:

- Sean Potter, Outstanding Witness
- Logan Spradlin, Outstanding Witness
