2019 EKU Colonel Classic Mock Trial Invitational - Judges Needed Nov. 23-24

On November 23-24, 2019, Eastern Kentucky University will host the EKU Colonel Classic Mock Trial Invitational Tournament. This college-level tournament will be held in Lexington at the Fayette County Circuit Court (at 120 N. Limestone).  As in the past, we rely upon the support of judges, attorneys, law students, and former college mock-trial competitors to serve as volunteer judges, providing the students with essential feedback on their performances. 

Attorneys are eligible for two hours of Kentucky Public Speaking CLE credit for volunteering their time.  CLE forms will be available on-site at the tournament.  You need not have mock trial or litigation experience to serve as a judge.  All judges will receive a confirmation email with further information after completing the signup form below.

The schedule of rounds is as follows:

Saturday, November 23
Round 1: Judges' Meeting 9:00-9:30am, Trial 9:30am-12:30pm
Round 2: Judges' Meeting 2:00-2:30pm, Trial 2:30-5:30pm
Donuts and coffee will be available to judges before round 1. Lunch will be available to judges between rounds 1 and 2.

Sunday, November 24
Round 3: Judges' Meeting 8:30-9:00am, Trial 9:00am-12:00pm
Round 4: Judges' Meeting 1:30-2:00pm, Trial 2:00-5:00pm
Donuts and coffee will be available to judges before round 3. Lunch will be available to judges between rounds 3 and 4.
